Specific Job Description
RMSL is a growth company with an outstanding job opportunity for a Junior Research Scientist position in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. RMSL has the opportunity to win a contract as a sub-contractor with responsibility to provide staffing needs in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. RMSLS is partnering with Battelle Memorial Institute as a sub-contractor for this effort.

Duties Include:
​Battelle’s Aviation Security Division provides research development test and evaluation services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Transportation Security Laboratory (TSL). The qualified candidate for this position will support the millimeter wave (MMW) research and development (R&D) contract for the TSL. The following activities will be supported:

Support the development of analytic software for practical implementation of theoretical algorithms used to identify explosive materials.

Refine demonstration software including a hologram image smoothing tool.

Assist with electromagnetic laboratory equipment operation, test fixture development, and data collection.
Required Skills
-
Degree from an accredited college or university in Physics, Computer Science or Engineering, and at least one year of computer programming experience.

Sole US Citizenship with eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance and to obtain DHS Suitability.

Candidate should have strong oral and written communication skills.

Candidate should be highly motivated and self-starters with a strong desire to learn.

Candidate should have some experience in the operation of the following programming languages: C/C++, Matlab, CUDA, and C#.

Additionally, candidate should have experience in instrumentation using LabVIEW to collect data.

Desired Skills

Knowledge in Synthetic Aperture Radar.

Knowledge of computer vision, image processing, image detection and 3D to 2D image projection.

Prior experience working for TSA or DHS.

DoD Secret security clearance.
